AMPAS, LACMA move ahead on movie museum

The Academy of movement Picture Arts and Sciences and also the La County Museum of Art board people are continue around the Academy's museum devoted to movies.The 2 boards decided to sign a memorandum of understanding to operate in good belief in creating the Academy's museum.The museum could be situated within the former May Co. building at a corner of Wilshire and Fairfax around the Miracle Mile.The memo puts moving plans for that two to go over the next contract but for the Academy to build up plans for future designs and construction.The Academy had acquired a website on Vine St. close to the Pickford Center for Film Study but made the decision to not pursue the fundraiser that could have been needed for that large-scale project.
